Hello SuSE people. Former thread was "apt-get, dependencies, Help! Anyway, after the kind helpof this list, and especially Joe, I got all of the packages to install. To my great surprise kde3.2.1 was included. Did the usual recommendations of deleting mcop, ksocket, in /tmp and my home directory. Problem is with kmail. It will not allow me to send a message. Downloads mail just fine. When I try to send a mail I get a message similar to this: Authentication failed. You probably have an address or password incorectly configured. Server responded Command unrecognized. And then at the bottom of this notification is a staement saying, transport protocol used was rnr. That last part seems weird to me. rnr is my usual email name. Anyway, I tried reconfiguring the smpt section of kmail about a 100 times trying to find out what is wrong. Nothing worked, thusly I am sending this mail from a windoze machine. Anybody else have this problem? And I hate to keep asking but I sure could use some help with this. Bob S.
