Hi, I've just upgraded from RedHat9 to SLES8 for one of our servers. I'm trying to use awk to split a uuencoded email into parts. So, I am looking for a line: begin nnn xxxxxx where the n's are digits and x's are characters. I would like to use /begin \d{3}/ however it doesn't match. /begin [0-9][0-9][0-9]/ does, but is no use for the text part. Anyone seen this? Do I need to set my locale differently? (tried LC_ALL=C). It did work fine on RedHat. Thanks, Tom
