Hi: I'm using SuSE 8.2 Professional. I have a NetBlaster II PCI card, model NCP130. It has a prism chip. Yast will detect it and suggest loading the prism2_plx driver. However, it can not make it work. Running iwconfig reports: wlan0 IEEE 802.11-b Mode:Auto Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00 Encryption key:off I then run: iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : SET failed on device wlan0 ; Function not implemented. iwconfig wlan0 ap XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX Error for wireless request "Set AP Address" (8B14) : SET failed on device wlan0 ; Function not implemented. And so forth. Nothing seems to work. I have searched the net, including the linux-wlan project page, but from what I can understand, SuSE should already be able to handle this card. The PCMCIA version NCP110, works perfectly with my notebook and the same Access Point. If anybody has suggestions, I will be happy to hear them. Thank you. -- Alfredo J.
