Anyone experiencing problems with kget?
kget keeps on crashing here. It freeze when I add files, it freeze when it completes to download files, it says "kget is already running!" when I add files.
Yep, same here, some files try to connect forever, after you have d/l something, or even not, kget cannot be closed but hangs in there with some processes. There is also a thread in the German Suse List, so this seems to be a common problem for people using the rpms. Suse is recompiling them every few days but I am running the latest builds and still have the problem.
To be able to download other things from konqi I've to: for i in `pidof kget`;do kill -15 $i;done and sometimes I'm forced to for i in `pidof kget`;do kill -9 $i;done
For me STRG+ESC and and killing the kget processes is kind of easier.
I'm running last version of SUSE KDE rpm... this started to happen when I upgraded to KDE 3.2. Things didn't improve with newer SUSE KDE built.
Maybe one should report this via the feedback form to suse, as it might indeed be realted to the suse packages. Sven
