KDE, what a mess. The panel had a gear icon for YAST, the control center icon, four clocks, and the lock/logout icons. That's it. No start button etc.
Gee, I saw the four clocks, too. Did you run SuSEconfig after the update? I had to run it twice(!) Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but after the first+reboot KDE still didn't work. After the second SuSEconfig things settled, and now it's fine. BTW: After the second SuSEconfig I realized that the base package was still @ 3.1.4, everything else was 3.2... and I KNOW it was checked before, because the same thing happened on the second machine, and that time I double+double checked. So I had to install kdebase3-3.2 again+ SuSEconfig. As I said: now it works fine. To get rid of three clocks - right click the clock and select remove.
Most annoying is that it won't show my various desktops. Anyone know how to get the panel to show desktops?
To get the desktops back, right click the panel, select Add->Applet->Pager. /Marty
