I am trying to get JPilot to talk to my Kyocera 6035 via a serial to usb adapter.
lusb tells me that the adapter is Bus 003 Device 002.
I am using the commands: ln -s --force /dev/ttyS3 /dev/pilot and chmod +wr /dev/pilot to prepare things for JPilot
Is ttyS3 the correct port or does Bus 003 Device 002 mean something different, please?
I think what you want is: ln -s /dev/ttyUSBx /dev/pilot but whether x is 2 or 3 I don't know. Probably 2. Try 'em both, and also do ls -l /dev/ttyUSB* to get a sense of what's going on. Be of good cheer; jpilot does work! Paul Abrahams
