Greetings:
Just for fun was wondering how other would address this situation.
Confronted with a server that is remote and is loaded with a foreign distro..:), and provided only with an ssh account, is there a safe way to load SuSE instead and ensure a successful install, as the possibility for human and local intervention is not possible?
It seems possible to do the installation using vnc. Never did this, so you need to look it up somewhere.
I think you missed the real point to the question and that is that the machine is -not- accessible should something go wrong. Unless there is a KVM with remote IP access I would not attempt this remote install. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
