do any of these IDEs allow for UI creation at the ease-level of VB? I use Netbeans now and I have to say that there RAD isn't so RAD so if either of these can compete at the VB level I would be very interested in purchasing a pkg. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Pearson [mailto:gottadoit@mailsnare.net] Sent: Friday, January 23, 2004 5:45 AM To: SuSE-Linux-English Subject: Re: [SLE] JBuilderX is Great! I just fetched the JBuilderX Enterprise eval off the Borland site, and I have to say, I am _very_ impressed! I find the UI to be far more advanced than the JBuilder7 I currently own. There are many powerful new features for supporting leading edge technology such as Java Web Serveices/J2EE in a very intuitive way. If you have used JBuilder or Borland's C++ IDE, you will catch on very quickley. There are some features of JBuilder which I don't believe you will find in Eclipse or NetBeans. A good example is the extensive code completrion and class lookup support.
If you want to be REALLY impressed with a pay for IDE, try Jetbrain's (IntelliJ) Idea EAP (Early Access Plan) of version 4.0 for 30 days. http://www.intellij.net/ The EAP is not available at www.intellij.com or www.intellij.org. -- _/_/_/ Bob Pearson gottadoit@mailsnare.net _/_/_/ "The best way to get information on Usenet is not to ask a _/_/_/ question, but to post the wrong information." - Aahz' Law -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
