You can further investigate what happens with the
'lsof' command (standard in moderm linux distros).For
example:
# lsof /dev/audio

I'm using GnomeMeeting - the version provided on the SuSE 9.0 CDs. It works fine for me.
Your audio problems could be that some other process already has "claimed" the audio device. Try killing artds, for example (that was one of my first problems and I solved that way).

Hello to all. Is there anybody using gnomemeeeting, from CVS, under SuSE 9.0???? I like to use this program but last versions from CVS give me a warning that do not work complaing that audio manager is not available. Any help will be great.
