Any reason why rpm -Uvh MPlayer-0.92-4.src.rpm would not result in MPlayer being available from the command line or in the SuSE desktop menu?
Other than a bunch of erros about user hvogel and group master not existing (and root being substituted) I did get the usual "1:MPlayer ############################ [100%] which I believe indicates that it loaded successfully.
Yes, no, maybe, please? Will read and apply suggestions in the AM.
Thanks! dmc
For a source rpm, you need to "rpmbuild --rebuild MPlayer-0.92-4.src.rpm", then "rpm -Uvh /usr/src/packages/RPMS/i386/MPlayer-0.92-4.i386.rpm" it tells you has been built. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer Linux Only Shop.
