Has anyone succeded in installing the "Plastik" (0.3.9) theme on SuSE 9.0 (Personal) from KDE-Look.org:

Is it safe to do so (will it make problems for later installation of KDE3.2)?
It might. Keep the compile directory so you can run "make uninstall" in it before you upgrade to kde 3.2. Or install using checkinstall instead of "make install"
When I try installing Plastik I get an error:
sputnik:/home/janus/tmp/plast/plastik-0.3.9 # ./configure
Use ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 when you compile kde stuff
checking for libz... configure: error: not found.
install the package zlib-devel Also make a habit of examining the file "config.log" that gets created in the compile directory. Sometimes the error messages configure prints are terribly misleading
