Hi, When I run SuSEconfig, after installing some package, it stop everytime a long long time in tetex. Why it is happen?
Thanks Thadeu
Hi Thadeu, I just checked the archieves to see if someone else had already answered your question. Yours was the 3rd "SuSEconfig" question this month, so I added " (tetex question)" to the subject line. I assume you have "tetex" installed on your box, so do: "pin tetex" (where "pin" is Package Identitication" ) and read the description for tetex. You can also go to the tetext web site: http://www.tug.org/teTeX/ You will see that it involves "postscript" etc, so i guess it just take a lot of time to configure. On my box it likewise seems to pause toward the bottom of the list. However, I think of it as pausing more at "susewm" rather than "tetex." YMMV. I usually do (as root after rpm update): SuSEconfig --verbose ldconfig -v sync SuSEconfig --verbose The second time i do "SuSEconfig, it goes much faster, and with the "verbose" I have something to read as it is does it's thing.
