Trey Sizemore:
I have a fresh install of 9.0. I have a number of mirrors in my sources.list (gnome2, usr-local-bin, etc.). When I go to do an apt-get dist-upgrade it lets me know that a number of files will be upgraded (Perl, gpg, fontconfig, etc.).
However, the upgrade stops due to failed dependencies such as: perl = 5.8.1-46 is needed by perl-5.8.1-81 fontconfig = 2.2.1-23 is needed by fontconfig-2.2.1-58 ...
These packages depend on older versions it thinks. What is the cleanest way to rectify this and upgrade the system? Force the upgrade, try to uninstall the older packages and then install the new...?
