I do have the 'alias eth1 lance" I also tried adding the "option lance io=0x240 irq=3" ( I disabled the serial ports in this computer ) and I also tried putting the io info in like "alias eth1 lance io=0x240 irq=3", I end up with the same errors. I was thinking that the card was id'ing itself differently than was expected and that was the problem, not sure if there was a way to re-direct the AKT1500 to mean AT-1500. Hi All,
I have some Allied Telesyn AT1500 cards I need to use. I can't seem to get them working under Suse 8.1, hardware support lists it as a supported card. The card is found on boot in /proc/isapnp list the card info, but says the card id is ATK1500 instead of AT-1500 along with "Logical Device 0 ATK1500 unknown", I also get "could not get a valid interface name" during card init. I have manually set the io and irq on the card and in /etc/modules ( I believe the module is lance.o ) to no avail. What should I try now?
Thanks for any info... mike -- From the SuSe Desktop
