My system runs SuSE 8.2 right from the box. CPU Pentium II, 400MHz, 210 Mb memory. my Bios is just updated because of a new harddisc. Another TV card completed the rebuilding of my system. Since then I have problems with my sound and TV card. If I install them both with yast I have a nice freeze at boot time. If I delete one of them I can get to my desktop KDE 3.1. If I install the second card from my desktop via yast I get them both working together. Rebooting results in an endlessly looking for the soundcard which is not detected. The system can only be stopped with the powerplug. Three fingers are not enough. At boot time the bios tells me that the sound card and TV card are respectively irq 5 and 10, something I also see in the controlcenter. That those two cards do not like each other in the actual setup is clear. IRQ conflict does not seem present but why they behave as they do is beyond my understanding. Somebody with ideas?
