Where are SuSE users supposed to find the latest RPM's, if not on rpmfind? Does SuSE have some kind of resource?

Start YaST. Software -> Install and Remove Software -> Search -> "hostap" Also check out this site.. http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/home.html
