Getting back emails from /var/spool/postfix/*/

Now, I have a huge amount of emails unaccessible. By spending one full day, I only found that they must be distributed in several directories of /var/spool/postfix/*/ But I do not know how I can get them back either in /var/spool/mail/ or in my ~/mbox. Please help. Any help or any philosophical discussions are welcome. Hugh
