Hello all, I'm looking for a solution that could be a versionning filesystem. I'm not asking people making a google query for me, i've done thousands yet... :-] I will expose my question and if any of you here already have met it and can help me, that would be nice. Let's assume that we have two geographic places, each is connected to the internet with medium line, 2Mb/256Kb for exemple. I need to put a fileserver on each side. The two fileservers needs to be synchronised as often as possible and file versionning would be great. So I have two questions here : - is there a way to synchronise 2 filesystems via a network without using a cron script (with rsync for exemple) ? (ie. i put a new file on server A, syncing begin automagically). - is there a versionning capable filesystem (or not filesystem) that could be used to store versions of files ? (not diffs, most of em will be binaries - img, movies, sounds) The versionning operation must be transparent to the user, ie. automatic. Thanx for reading Paul
