I am trying to install multisync in suse 9.0. It is on the dvd, but when I select it there are multiple unresolved dependencies. Many but not all seem to be version number related. Sorry, Bernie, but I'm at a loss as to what software you're trying to install.

Hi Fred. multisync is a program plus plugins for syncing, among other devices, a Zaurus PDA.. It is in the suse 9.0 distribution under the Applications/Productivity group, but for some reason is missing multiple dependencies. One is libcrypto.so.2. libcrypto is apparently provided by openssl, but the version in suse 9.0 provides libcrypto.so.0.9.7. There are other examples like this as well as dependencies which aren't in the distribution at all. I can live without it, but it would be nice, and it seems strange that suse would include a package with so many required things missing. I though someone might have heard of the problem and a solution. Thanks for thinking about it anyway. Bernie Gardner
