I've got a problem that baffles me.
I had jpilot working. I had digikam working.
Although both of them have stopped, without cause as far as I can tell. I'm sure there's a reason for it -- but I'll be buggered if I know what it is.
The USB flash drive appears to continue to work, without problem.
Does anyone have any pointers as to where I should start to look into this? I've done some poking around, but haven't come up with any reasons why it should stop working.
(I had a guess... Due to the time problems that some people were having, I removed "desktop" from my /boot/grub/menu.lst. (And then I replaced it.) As far as I can tell, the only other adjustment was dealing with the closk -- I renamed a file "adjtime", I think. Also, part of the boot sequence. (Renamed it, so it wouldn't be hit.) I didn't replace it, ad that fix worked (dual-boot problems with the time in Linux adjusting itself to be about 30 minutes off). But aftre a reboot when I had replaced "desktop"... No change...)
So, any thoughts as to what might be going on here, and how I can get my toys talking with my computer agin?
Thanks in advance!

1) Go to a command line and issue: rchotplug restart and look for errors. 2) Look for errors in /var/log/messages both at boot time and when plugging in one of the devices. -- +---------------------------------------------------------------------------- + + Bruce S.
