I noticed that SuSEPlugger does not create a floppyt icon on my KDE desktop. The box "Device icons - Floppy" is checked. Where can be the problem?
Do you have a floppy drive in your computer?
(Sorry - I couln't resist ;o))
Seriously though, check that the cables to your floppy drive are all firmly plugged in. In fact, it may be a good idea to unplug them and plug them in again.
It sounds weird, but a few people have solved device problems that way in the past.
:-) Yes, I do have a floppy (checked a few minutes ago). It's connected and working properly. :-) The user is member of "floppy" group. Still, the icon is not generated automatically. Moreover, I can't understand why yast recognises my CDRW drive (working through ide-scsi) as two identical drives => 2 icons for CDRW - CD-R & CD-R2.
