Hi,
I have spent two days now trying to get LVM2/device-mapper going in
either kernel 2.4 or 2.6 and I am still no closer to a booting system.
If anyone can shed some light on how to make this work, I would be
positively delighted.
I have so far been forced to resort to creating my own initrd images and
hack about with it extensively just to get the correct tools on there as
the mkinitrd tool from SuSE is making a hash of things. All well and
good installing vgscan and vgchange into the initrd, but when they are
symlinks to lvm and you don't install that, the exercise is not a good
one.
