Hi, I keep getting the `Operation not supported' when I try to add a default acl to a directory.
I have tried various directories such as: setfacl -d -m group:nc:rwx files
getfacl files results in
getfacl files # file: files # owner: sn # group: users user::rwx group::rwx other::rwx
Why can't I modify/add a default portion which seems a very powerful concept in a directory where other files will be created.
I am obviously not understanding a vital concept.
What filesystem are you trying to set acl's on. I am using XFS here without problem. Not all filesystems support acl's. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
