Thanks for the help... I installed the Unix print service and things still don't work. On yast i tried to change the spooler from cups to LPRng. For my surprise at least the test page during the yast setup worked. But for some strange reason printing still doesn't work with any other program. What do you mean by non-yast driver? How did you manually setup your printer? Thanks again Gustavo On Sun, 2003-11-02 at 01:10, Patrick Heffernan wrote:

I'm trying to configure suse 9 to print to a Epson CX3200 that is on a shared windows xp machine. When configuring the printer on yast I selected "Print via SMB Network Server" and followed all the steps. Everything seemed to be right (yast detects the printer on winXP). The only problem is that nothing is happening! When sending a job the "processing" state remains forever... Does anyone have any idea?
I had the same problem. I used the Non Yast driver for my XP Epson printer, and also in winXP, add and remove Windows components -> Other Networking and Print Services, and add Unix print services. Works like a charm with an Epson Stylus Photo 720 this way.
