Hi. I added an AIC7xxx card and a SCSI CD-RW driver to my system. I have used it successfully to burn an iso image using cdrecord. Now, I'd like regular users to be able to make it to work with K3B. Unfortunately, when I use Yast's cd drive tool to configure the drive, it adds it as a regular CD-ROM drive. It doesn't show up for users at all.
What is the proper way to get SuSE to recognize the drive and grant users access to it?
Thanks, mike. ============
Usually running k3b setup will adjust the programs and devices for users as well. Just make sure that each user is part of the cdrecording group and make sure your programs being used, cdrecord, cdrdao, etc. are root & cdrecording.
