Check instead the '/etc/resolv.conf' file during the connection: it should have your dns server. That file is modified by the '/etc/ppp/ip-up script' (actually, the work is done by another one, but it doesn't matter), as a result of the auto-dns setting of the internet configuration. It can be disabled, and use a fixed dns setting (connection setup, and/or /etc/sysconfig/network/config -> MODIFY_RESOLV_CONF_DYNAMICALLY -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
