I'm trying to install from source last qt for SuSE 8.1 Actually my target was to upgrate KDE. I went to SuSE site, downloaded everything, everything seemed OK till I discover some of the fonts were invisible. The problem is known and I've been able to solve it in the past... but this time even reinstalling the newest qt didn't solve it. Following the suggestions of a peer I tried to compile qt from the packages here: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/8.1-i386/SRPMS.kde3-stable/ compiling this way: rpm --target athlon-suse-linux -vba qt3.spec or rpm --target athlon -vba qt3.spec but each time I try to install the package I have package qt3-3.1.2-54 is for a different architecture While it is compiling I can see g++ -c -pipe -O2 -march=athlon -fPIC -DNO_DEBUG -fno-exceptions -I/usr/include/freetype2/ -I/usr/include/mysql/ -I/usr /include -I/usr/include/pgsql/ -I/usr/include/pgsql/server -O2 -march=athlon -fPIC -DNO_DEBUG -DQT_MOC -DQT_NO_CODECS -DQT_LITE_UNICODE -DQT_NO_COMPONENT -DQT_NO_STL -DQT_NO_COMPRESS -I/usr/src/packages/BUILD/qt-x11-free-3.1.2/mkspecs/ linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I../../include -I../tools -I. -I/usr/include -o ./qptrcollection.o ../tools/qp trcollection.cpp that suggest nothing weired is happening... What's wrong? TIA
