Well, I have heard some very weird pronunciations and one that nearly ended up in disaster. One guy said: Suh-sey (This is the closest that I can try in English). This sounds like a derivative of the Afrikaans for sister (sussie (from suster = sister) - Dutch is probably the same). In any case it caused confusion, as the sentence that he used it in sounded very bad. I understood he wanted to do things with my sister and he had to explain very nicely what he meant ... Well, I drilled the correct pronunciation of SuSE into him...
