I'm surfing around on suse.com and I'm trying to compare SuSE Professional 8.2 with SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8, but I don't really find what I'm looking for.. I understand the big difference between the two (with or without United Linux), but not the general idea from an Administrators point of view. What I'm looking for is what kind of admin tools there are to make the admin's life a bit easier.. Like integrated configuration suits for mail handling, file server administration, print service administration etc. I mean, SLES is targeted for the BIG systems, so I thought there must be some really nice features... If I was to administer a system with f.x. 25.000 mail accounts, I really do want a good admin package for it.. :) None of this is written out in "clear text", I haven't found any decent comparison chart either, the closest I came was http://www.suse.com/us/business/products/server/which_version/index.html which doesn't say much, more or less just how much more service and support you get with SLES and how much more capable it is in large scale hardware. So, can anyone please fill me in on the differences from the admin's point of view? Also, they mention somewhere a product called 'eMail Solutions'.. But nothing furter on it?? Is it a part of SLES8, or is it a separate product, so to get it all, you need both SLES8 and then also the eMail services and admin tools? I'm confused.. Anders Norrbring Norrbring Consulting
