Try "mkfs" (make filesystem) which reformats your partition. It's the equivalent to "format" under DOS/Windows
Ok, I access the mounted partition as 'file:/data2' in Konqueror. So does that mean I can just type at the prompt: 'mkfs /data2' which is the mount point, or should it be the device entry 'mkfs /dev/hdb3' Will that reformat the drive in the same way. ie ext3 or reiser? Or can I change that w/the format command? Thanks, -Trey
