Help on how to configure a Firewire(IEEE1394) external drive!

Hey there, I need some advice on how to configure a Maxtor 3000XT (160GB) Firewire external drive. A few days ago I did a new SuSE 8.1 Pro instalation, on the first boot, SuSE loaded the drive perfectly, an icon (/windows/c) was displayed on the desktop, fstab show it as /dev/sda1 ... sweet! I tought... :) But on a second reboot it all turn out as a April Fools joke... same icon, same fstab entry, but I can no longer access to the drive... 'file system type is not supported'... what??? It's FAT32!! One reboot ago everything was going on smooth!!... Any ideas on how to get this drive working again?
