I have 1 windows xp pro workstation, and a newly fresh installed 8.2 server. I have a ps2 key board and a Microsoft intelemouse explorer (big gray and red mouse with thumb buttons and the top button, and a wheel.)
When I switch from xp to Linux with the KVM my mouse behavior on the Linux box is completely wasted. Everything jumps around and

I have been doing some reading that says that I should make sure I don't have more then 1 mouse driver loaded. How can I check this In Suse?
Has anyone else had similar problems. If so what did you do to rectify them.
The mouse is the USB version going through the USB -> ps2 adapter that came with the mouse.
How does the mouse behave if you boot Linux with the mouse attached.
It works just fine. As a test i selected the MS ps2 driver and that solved the problem. However its not much of a solution as i now can't use the wheel or third button.
Sounds like a problem i had in earlier versions of SuSE-Linux. Did you by any chance install gpm? Try uninstalling that package, you probably don't need it anyway: it only useful if you aren't working with X-window.

I had the same problem with a Beklin OmniCube. I had gpm disabled, only one mouse driver... booted fine however when switching back from my win 2k box the mouse went crazy too. Restarting the X server fixes the problem. One temporary thing I did was whenever I wanted to switch to win2k I logged out of linux, and then when going back, used the keyboard shortcut to restart X, then all would be ok. Now I just have two mice. KVM handles monitor and keyboard, and I have two mice, one for SuSE and one for Windows. Not great, but after trawling the groups and lists for answers for several months and not finding anything, I went with the low tech option. Tim
