Divx files tend to be avi files as well. Try downloading the divx codec from www.divx.com Paul Kraus -----Original Message----- From: Jose Sanchez [mailto:joseos@okstate.edu] Sent: Friday, June 27, 2003 10:16 AM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] Black screen when previewing avi files zentara wrote:
There is alot of different codecs for avi. You probably don't have the right decoding codec for that avi on the linux box. See if you can save
the file to disk, and view it with xanim or mplayer, if not try to find
out which codec it is, and see if you can get the linux port of it.
That explains everything. I tried to save the file to the disk, but it doesn't work either with mplayer, etc. I will try to find out which codec is it and see if I can fix it.
