I think dd if=/dev/hda | tee /dev/hdb > /dev/hdc should work. I like to use a 4kb transfer size, so dd if=/dev/hda bs=64k | tee /dev/hdb > /dev/hdc If hdb and hdc are the same size you should also do md5 checksum on them to ensure the copies are identical. FYI: Using a IDE master and slave on the same IDE bus is very slow. If you are going to be present for the process, it will likely go faster to do copy from hda to hdc twice and just swap your destination drives out in the middle. Hello list-people,
I received a 4 GB image, which I used to copy using dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb
And if I need another copy I run like dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdc for instance
But now my question is for the script/bash experts:
Is there any trick to copy this "hda-image" to BOTH hdb and hdc AT THE SAME TIME or at least with one run?
Hope you understand me. Many thanks ahead.
