OK, I just got a Creative Labs MuVo and managed to figure out (to an extent) how to put files on it. Now to advance. How do I make an mp3?
I know I can download them, but I want to make some of my own.
You can use grip or Konqueror's Audio CD slave AFTER you install an mp3 encoder. I would recommend lame, which IMHO probably the best. I have an rpm compiled for 8.2 if you would like it emailed to you (~616K). Then, using Konqueror's Audio CD slave, just go to the mp3 tab, select your file, and copy it to your destination, which will rip it to mp3 (quite fast as well).
