Is this "instsrc" a file that I should be able to see residing in the requested (yast-source) directory? I'm not seeing it looking at several ftp mirrors. Have it going into the "Change Source of Installation" module of YaST as a new ftp source. Have disabled others for time being. Still No luck. Getting the, ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media). Have tried a mirror and the ftp.suse site. I can see the directories and files with a browser doing an anon logon to these sites. What elce is required on the YaST lines?

Did you have a look at the Advanced Package Tool (apt) for suse? It can do what you want.
