I am attempting to set up a dvd-ram drive in fstab: /dev/sr0 /media/dvd-ram vfat defaults,user=500 0 0 then in cfdisk: cfdisk /dev/sr0 part 1 type c (fat32 lba) cylinders: 1 to +1000M non-bootable (gives me a err 22 (invaid argument) (but I can read the part table)
then in msdosfs mkdosfs -S2048 -F32 -nDVD-RAM1 /dev/sr0p1
result: cannot read disk geometry
I'm not sure you can partition a dvd-ram, try it as a single partition /dev/sr0. I got similar errors when I tried to partition my dvd-ram. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
