So, I went back to qt3-3.1.2-40. The mouse pointer changed back to pointing to the left and the "What's This?" problem vanished as well. I have heard that some people are having problems with Yast2 while using qt3-3.1.2 but, so far, I haven't experienced it.

Rick, Go into the Install/Remove software module and try cancelling out of it. You will get a window that asks ok or cancel that you can't get rid of there. The only way to get out at that point is the Ctrl-Alt-Esc keys for the skull & crossbones pointer. I thought maybe it was a bad SuSE compile, so compiled QT3 from src.rpm with no luck. Still behaves the same way. I do believe someone here mentioned that they had used the the SuSE rpms from kde.org though and was not experiencing the problem?

Go back to Qt3-3.1.1-71.and that problem will go away too. Richard
