Understandable, but the question is: If Suse supplies 3.1.2 packages via the supplementary-directory, do they also fix serious issues for these and distribute them via YOU? The qt-issue with 3.1.2 and Yast-software-installation would be one exapmle? I do not have that thread anymore, otherwise I would ask Philipp.

That was in the README.txt I sent yesterday. Updates, bug fixes, security fixes to anything in the /supplementary direrctories are at the specific package maintainer's discretion, time and ability. The README.txt clearly states this and why. They are not distributed via YOU hence the apt-get and fou4s alternatives. Stan
