Depends on your adsl equipment. If the adsl modem is also a router then you don't use ppp, just a default gateway in the routing table. If the adsl modem lets you setup a VPN then you do need ppp to connect to the modem. Maybe you have to run some adsl setup script first? Theo -- Theo v.
