-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 After upgrading to MySQL 4.0, I no longer have rcmysql on my system. A check of the past installs shows that this was really a link to /etc/init.d/mysql. That is still present, so I created a link. Problem: When I issue the command rcmysql start, it correctly starts MySQL, but it never exits. The only way to get control back to the console is to do a <Ctrl>-C. I posted a query about the start hanging on the MySQL list, but didn't get any responses (not a good sign). I'm repeating it here hoping one of the gurus here might know what causes the hang. tia - ---Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+0kAvjeziQOokQnARAhI/AJ9jkAahzxhmp7oquzqLTejKap1WCgCffmnT gS+KKXuUBOEGOL6O5hbtw9Y= =Zz4R -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
