After installation of 8.2, I swopped the CDROM and DVD player (hdc <> hdd), changed /etc/fstab accordingly, and... I had the same problem. I tried to change the source of installation with Yast2, but only got an error message. Then I found the solution in the installed SDB, keyword 'Installation source', which exactly described the problem. Probably the only thing you have to do is making sure that /dev/cdrom is a link pointing to the installation source, e.g. /dev/hdc or /dev/hdd, even if this is your DVD player. SH
