$B$5$s$O=q$-$^$7$? (B: AIUI, installing fonts for KDE doesn't mean that they will work for Gnome, or has this changed?
Both use fontconfig/Xft2, i.e. if the fonts work for one of them, they will also work for the other.
OK, that's good to know. I can just fire up KDE's Control Centre to install fonts in the future.
However, I stand by my comment that this is an odd omission from YaST2. Not all of use KDE, so don't know about kcontrol's tools.
It's rather easy to install fonts in SuSE 8.2. Just copy them to the
appropriate directory (for example /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype)
and call "SuSEconfig --module fonts" or "/usr/sbin/fonts-config".
That's all. The font installer in KDE doesn't do much more than that.
