Pat, In simple terms, run YOU (YaST Online Update) and it will grabe the nvidia rpms and install those for you setting things right. You may have to be a bit of small tweaking afterwards, but that is all. Be sure to check "3Ddiag", from a shell, to see if the nvidia_glx is being used. Check with "glxinfo" to see if direct rendering is on and if you like, "gear's will give you something of an idea if 3D is working, but don't trust gears too much, it's not nearly accurate. Tuxracer or one of the other 3D games will give you a better indication.
