Hey John, I have had some similar problems with USR modems and I found their warranty procedures to be excellent. Called them up, gave a credit card number, they send a new unit and wait for you to send the old one in. If they receive yours the CC is not used. If you dont send the old one back they hit your CC. Worked for me twice! Richard
