I have my mail server (Postfix/Cyrus on 8.1) running in a DMZ.
When I boot my workstation to 8.1, fire up Mutt and connect via IMAP to the server, everything is fine.
When I do the same with 8.2, Mutt just hangs forever at "Authenticating (SASL)..."
Read the thread "Imapd in SuSE-8.2 does not work", I believe it applies to your question.
Not quite. IINM that thread is concerned with trouble getting imapd and ssl set up *on* 8.2... I have no imapd on the 8.2. Read the above quote again; Server = 8.1 Client = 8.2 In any event I started another thread "Fixed Mutt, am happy and wonder", which explains how I got it to work. Thanks anyway, though Cheers, Jon Clausen -- If we can't be free, at least we can be cheap!
