What do you have to decide before you start the installation process?

      Hi,
Where can I find information about what is installed if I strict follow
everything the installation process suggests, i.e. make as few own choices
as possible and answer "yes" to everything?

What choices cannot be avoided, where am I forced to make a selection? I
mean the software side, not graphics cards etc.
