Hi, You don't need that driver downloaded from Trident. It is for an older XFree86 version. Here is what you need to have in the XF86Config file, regarding this driver: Section "Device" BoardName "CyberBlade/i1" BusID "1:0:0" Driver "trident" Identifier "Device[0]" Option "CyberStretch" Option "sw_cursor" Screen 0 VendorName "Trident" EndSection Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "Layout[all]" InputDevice "Keyboard[0]" "CoreKeyboard" InputDevice "Mouse[1]" "CorePointer" Option "Clone" "off" Option "Xinerama" "off" Screen "Screen[0]" EndSection Section "DRI" Group "video" Mode 0660 EndSection These settings worked for me :) Alin. Did anyone solve the issue with this integrated VGA chipset?
MSI MS-6368 with VIA PLE 133 SuSE 8.1
I want to obtain 1024/768 with more than 70Hz on a Samsung SyncMaster 550S
I have downloaded from tridentmicro.com the driver(?!?!) for Linux, it's a xf86_svga.gz file... containing the binary with the same name... what can I do with it?
Could you please give me a hint?
Thank you in advance, Radu
