Jim, While not wishing to add to this thread, I understand why you feel offended. Your remarks about Americans buying American products is understandable and valid. This is true in many countries as well. In Europe, SuSE does well as it is a European company. I daresay in Germany SuSE is the best selling linux distribution. For what it is worth, I do not share the views of "Americans on thin ice". In any case, this is hardly the forum for this discussion. The reason for this is to lend you some support. Regards. And Vince and others, about this whole "Americans on thin ice" thread.
You were awfully quick to assume a lot about me and the intent of my post.
However, I just wanted to point out, that as an American, I have *BOUGHT* copies of Mandrake ( French ), SuSE ( German ) and RH ( American ).
So don't try to paint me in some corner implying that I am an arrogant American. Because that is rude, and only points out YOUR FAILINGS, not mine.
This is the last thing I am going to say on this subject. Suffice it to say, I am deeply offended.
