Hi, I initially had thought to do a clean install for 8.2 after having saved /home/ from 8.1; but now I'm not so sure and I'd like your input. Can I use the 8.1 /home/? and what would be the best way? I ran into a problem in 8.1, with evolution when I upgraded it to 1.2 - due to dependency problems it took out some apps, particularly GnuCash. However, even after eliminating some apps the newer evolution severely intefered with the user desktop. It basically forced the user desktop into part-gnome from a full kde with apps partially functional [e.g., logout was no longer operative]. Ximian was not able to solve the problem. I presume that 8.2 solved the problem as I noticed it includes evolution 1.2 and GnuCash. -- Cheers, Serge C Naggar [Naggar Consulting]
